Robot cell with automated packing zone
Two robotic arms equipped with suction cups automatically pack food-filled trays into boxes, fully integrated into a hygienic food production line.
For this packing application, Indurra developed an advanced robot cell where two robotic arms work together to pick and place food-filled trays into boxes with speed and precision. Custom suction cups ensure reliable gripping and positioning, even when tray shapes or weights vary.
The robot cell functions as a fully automated end-of-line station. Using intelligent tracking and synchronized PLC control, trays are detected on the conveyor, picked up and placed into boxes following a predefined pattern. Integrated sensors and safety systems ensure stable, continuous and safe operation.
Our engineering team designed a hygienic stainless-steel chassis tailored to the requirements of the food industry — easy to clean, robust and built for intensive production environments. The automation team handled all programming, robot motion coordination, safety logic and integration with upstream and downstream equipment.
This robot cell demonstrates Indurra’s strength in applying robot technology to increase speed, improve consistency and support operators through a reliable, high‑performance packing solution.
