Automated tray packing lines
Two next‑generation tray packing lines with Flexpickers that place trays directly into moving crates, designed for fully automated food production.
This project covers the complete scope: engineering study, detailed design, delivery, installation and commissioning of two fully automated tray packing lines. Mechanical design, robotics and automation are tightly integrated to create a stable, high‑performance packing process.
Each line features two Flexpicker robots that pick trays directly from the conveyor and place them into moving crates. Using tracking of both trays and crates, the robots follow product positions in real time, enabling accurate placement at high speeds without stopping the line.
The lines are built in a hygienic configuration suitable for food environments, with a strong focus on cleanability, accessibility and operator safety. Indurra’s automation team handled the robot programming, PLC control, safety functions and integration with upstream and downstream equipment.
The result is a future‑proof packing solution that increases capacity, improves consistency and significantly reduces the need for manual handling.
