Robotic cell for positioning round cheese on racks
Tracking‑mode robotic cell that positions round cheeses accurately and at high speed onto racks.
This project features a robotic cell that automatically places round cheeses onto racks, even while the products are moving. Using tracking‑mode, the robot continuously follows each cheese and positions it with high precision, maintaining accuracy at elevated production speeds.
The installation includes a 6‑axis robot and a hygienic gripper concept designed to protect product integrity and allow thorough cleaning. The entire cell is built according to high‑care standards, with smooth surfaces, washable components and a construction optimized for easy maintenance.
The solution brings together the strengths of several Indurra departments:
- Engineering for the design of the robot setup and tracking concept
- Sheet‑metal and welding departments for hygienic frame and component fabrication
- Automation for robot control, tracking algorithms and vision integration
- Assembly hall for full build‑up, wiring and final testing
The result is a fast, stable and highly accurate positioning solution that boosts production capacity while significantly reducing operator workload.
