Cheese destacking with robot
A robotic system that accurately destacks cheese blocks and feeds them automatically into the production flow.
Indurra engineered and delivered an automated solution in which a robot performs the complete destacking of cheese stacks and transfers them further into the process. The setup is developed to operate efficiently, safely and fully in line with food‑grade requirements.
The robot features a custom-designed gripper that lifts and separates each layer without damaging the product. Sensors continuously monitor position, height and alignment, enabling precise and consistent operation.
The automation package includes path control, multi‑format handling, safety integration and seamless synchronisation with the downstream equipment. The entire system was pre‑assembled and tested in our assembly hall for a smooth installation on site.
This project demonstrates how Indurra can convert a repetitive manual task into an ergonomic, hygienic and highly reliable robotic workflow.
