Crate de-stacker

Automated system for de-stacking and controlled feeding of plastic crates, suitable for both food and non‑food applications.

For this project, Indurra developed a robust, fully automated crate de-stacker designed to separate stacked crates and feed them one by one onto the production line. The system is ideal for food and non‑food environments that require a continuous and reliable supply of crates.

The machine receives full stacks, separates the crates automatically and places each one accurately on the conveyor. With smart PLC control and integrated sensors, the unit synchronizes seamlessly with upstream and downstream equipment such as washers, buffering systems or sorting modules. Sensor monitoring ensures stable operation, proper stack handling and consistent flow.

The construction is durable, low‑maintenance and designed for heavy industrial use, with hygienic stainless‑steel execution available for food applications. All wiring, safety functions and programming were developed and tested in-house by Indurra.

This de‑stacker demonstrates how Indurra transforms repetitive manual handling into a smooth, efficient and ergonomic automated process.
